KitchenAid Garbage Disposal

I have not owned a KitchenAid garbage disposal before, but most everything I hear about them, I like.

If you are looking for one fortunately there are a lot of choices in this line. Below is a listing of various kitchenaid models beginning with what I found as the cheapest on up the price list. It does depend on what you want to spend along with the features that you want. I’ve also listed summarizations of some reviews I found on each product.

The ½ horsepower KitchenAid Continuous Feed Garbage Disposal was listed under one hundred dollars online. One reviewer installed it themselves in their apartment and reported it as working flawlessly.

Next up is the 3.4 horsepower KitchenAid Continuous Feed Garbage Disposal. I found more reviews on this food waste disposel model and one in particular quite extensive.

Under good comments:

-Extremely quiet. Throw ice in and not much noisier than running water

-Insides made by Insinkerator and same as the Evolution but less the KitchenAid less

  expensive.

-May only need more horsepower if using a septic tank

-Very easy to take off the rubber guard to clean it. Can’t be said for many models.

Under bad comments:

-Have to get electrical connection pieces separately. They don’t cost too much but just need to know that you will need to get them. You might want to keep the power cord off the disposal you are replacing.

As the food waster disposal models increase in price, it was more difficult for me to find any reviews on those models. I can only presume that means less people buy those. Surely they are as good as and likely better than the cheapest garbage disposals! Again, your choice depends on what you can afford and if you are one of those people who enjoy having the top of the line of any product. Or if you really hate fixing things or replacing them, you may want to consider going for the more powerful machines. If are like Tim the tool man, maybe you just like power! So on now to other models.

The one horsepower KitchenAid Continuous Feed Garbage Disposal was selling for about $300 when I checked. I saw no reviews but this is a step up in power for sure. The word “technology” is used a lot to describe this one. Like technology for Sound Seal Plus and Multi-Grind Plus. It has a corrosion resistant grind.

What is called the KitchenAid Batch Feed Garbage Disposal is also one horsepower and runs 1725 rpms. It has features of the previously mentioned garbage disposal.

The KitchenAid garbage disposer model KBDS100T is one horse power and is promoted by its four grinding components which can devour stringy foods like celery or as tough a job as a cornhusk! The shredder ring and the grinding wheel are made of stainless steel. This design is to help make the disposal last longer and make it more powerful.

If you are ever in need of Kitchenaid replacement parts for your Kitchenaid garbage disposal, one impressive website I found is:

http://www.appliancepartspros.com/Kitchen-Aid-Garbage-Disposer-Parts.aspx

They offer all the parts you could need including items like flanges, drain hoses and more. They have a lowest price guarantee and the parts are original brand name. What I liked best was their search tool. I’ve found when looking for parts of most anything it can be very frustrating finding the exact part you need. Looks like they take the hassle out of that. And it that isn’t enough they offer support by email, phone or chat to teach you how to fix the problem. Plus they have pictures! Nothing like diagrams especially for us visual people that need to see what we are doing. Parts ship the same day, because they know you want to get it fixed fast. Check them out. I have no connection with them whatsoever.
